It's been a while.

I'm absolutely horrible at keeping up with these. :( But here I am. I'll make a post now. :)

My dreads are juuuust about 4 months old. I'm still loving them. They are still a complete mess. And finally starting to shrink some. I just let them do their thing. I still plan to crochet them some, just haven't gotten a crochet hook yet. I'm lazy. Oh well. Here's some recent pictures of the dreads. :)

I just tied it up here with some ribbon.

Trying to calm the crazyness

My roots are officially trying to just form one HUGE matt. It's horrible. My boyfriend and I plan on sitting down one night and fixing it, but oh boy is it crazy. lol. I was able to get a few of the roots separated and fixed them up. Also, decorated a few of the dreads with some ribbon and yarn. All I did was braid the stuff around my hair.

Updos and updates.

The dreads...well they are starting to get crazy. I have a fuzz ball of roots on the back left side of my head that no matter what I do, they won't do what I want. And they are trying to congo up, which I do NOT want. So I'm getting pretty annoyed with them. But no worries, that's not going to stop me from keeping up with my dreads. I still love them even though they annoy me. lol

The other day I pulled them up, so I thought I'd show you guys. :D

From the front. It's just a bit of gauzy stuff from a Christmas bow. I wrapped it around my head like a headband. Since headbands don't work too well nowadays.

This is from the back. It looks a hot mess, but it was out of my face. lol. Once I had the wrap in I took my hair and tied it into a loose knot then folded it up on itself. Then pulled the sides of the roll up and clipped it. 

This is from the side. See it was quite messy. lol

My boyfriend was making me laugh in this one. Apparently him needing to pee couldn't wait just a second. 

These next two pictures are from the day I washed it. I took pictures and loved the way my dreads looked. :D

So that's how they look right now. There's lots of crazyness going on with them. Lots of loose hairs everywhere. Crazy frizz and poofyness, but I still love them. :)

I'm horrible at updating. :(

I know, I know. I'm absolutely horrible at updating. BUT I took some pictures today, so I'm going to update. lol.

This is Mr. Fatty. I worked for...an hour or so on it. It's hella knotty and awesome to the extreme. I still need to get the roots fully knotted. (You can see where I need to start, at the dent.) But he's coming along nicely. 

I made a low pony the other day to get it out of my face. Didn't look half bad in my opinion. (Except the scalp area. lol)

This is pretty much how it looks all the time. Crazy and wonderful. :D

So yeah, they are coming along pretty well. The crazy insane itch is gone. All I had to do was wash my hair once for it to disappear. Which is okay in my book. I was starting to go crazy because of it. I've lost a little length since I started them. I say about an inch to an inch and a half. Mr. Fatty lost a CRAP TON of length though. It started at my waist and it's right above my boob now. That's a lot. I hope all the dreads don't lose that much, but if they do that's fine. I'll still love them.

Um...there's not much else to say. I'll update again soon. :D

I totally forgot to let you guys know.

I finished making my locks!!! I rang in the new year backcombing away. lol. It took me 11ish hours, but I took lots of breaks seeing as I was celebrating the new year. (I may have drank too much at one point and had to take a nap. lol)

Onto the pictures. I know that's all you care about. lol

These were taken the morning after. So no laughing. I had just woken up and was not feeling the greatest from all the drinking. Though I didn't get a hangover. :) Yay for hydrating myself. They are quite crazy as you can tell and they are getting crazier. lol

These were taken yesterday or the day before. I'm not sure honestly. But there isn't much change. A friend of mine played with two or three dreads in the back. Got them locked up better. She's going to play with all of them eventually to get them looking better. But right now they are just doing their own thing. 

This is how I was wearing my hair earlier. I just made two bunches and tied it loosely in a knot. :)

So it's been a few days and I'm totally loving it. I've definitely got some crazy stuff happening in there. lol. But it's fun and interesting seeing what it's going to do. 

I've decided not to crochet until they've established themselves. So for right now I'm making sure the roots don't get too friendly with each other and doing a little palmrolling. That's it so far. I'm trying to not wash it until Saturday, but we'll see. I might have to because the itch is driving me nuts. It only itches in the morning and then I get used to it, but cheezus it's annoying. Oh and you'll notice I didn't dread some of the bangs. They are still long right now, but a friend is going to cut them so that they are at my jawbone and not in the way. :)

Finally sectioned them out.

So I tried and failed at sectioning out my hair so I could really start locking it up. I got a friend to section it out for me tonight though. :) I brushed out the second two dreadlocks and re-sectioned them out. I think I counted 33 sections? I'm not positive though. I'll get a better count of them when we're done backcombing them. I left a bit of my bangs loose to keep some unlocked hair to play with. We'll see how that goes. But onto the sectioning pictures.

Hopefully the next post I make will have all my dreadlocks done. I can't wait. :)

Oh, I almost forgot. We got two new metal combs for my hair. My hair's too much a beast to use plastic. lol. So we'll see how these hold up. 

I've got three dreadlocks done now.

I decided to do what I could with my poor little comb this morning. I only got two more done before it completely gave up on me. lol. So I have three dreadlocks at the nape of my neck. As I'm doing the dreadlocks I'm realizing just how damaged my hair is already. lol. The ends are sooo split. I have a crap ton of frizzies in the dreadlocks. But palmrolling helps with that.
